The situation on NK-Azerbaijan troops contact line remains tense. The rival used "Smerch” multiple launch rocket system on Southern direction of the front line on the night of April 4.

Armenian-Azerbaijani “battles” continue in sports as on the borders. The first of those ended with the win of Armenian judoka Shahen Abaghyan, serving in CSKA.

Armenian athlete defeated Natig Gurbanli with 7:0 score in the finals of Junior European Cup in Athens, and became the winner.

Abaghyan told Mediamax Sport that he devotes his “small” win to Armenian people and all servicemen.

“Let my win be the beginning of new victories for our army. All fights with representatives of that country are always tense, this one wasn’t an exception. However, Armenian athletes and soldiers have an unbreakable and strong spirit, that’s why nothing stops them. That’s why our country has always and will always be despite many hardships,” said the judoka.

Armenian junior team’s head coach Martin Sargsyan is infinitely proud of Shahen’s performance and this important victory.

“Military actions already began on the day of his performance. Shahen said that he would win, that he should fulfill his duty, and he kept his word. Although the fighting was very tense, it went and ended with our superiority,” said the coach.
